Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 am–2:30 pm. Richardson is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Richardson is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We visited Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon on Mother’s Day with the family, and overall we had a great experience. They had premium buffet items like lobster, crab legs, and other seafood selections, and the food quality was very good and fresh. Our server, Frank, was amazing. Even though the restaurant was absolutely packed, he stayed attentive the entire time — constantly checking on us, topping off drinks, and making sure we had everything we needed. Excellent service from him and definitely one of the highlights of our visit. The only downside was the refill situation for the premium items, especially the crab legs and lobster. Several stations would become empty and take anywhere from 15–30 minutes to refill. We’re not sure if this was because of the Mother’s Day rush, but if this happens regularly, it could become a problem long term. It also created a backlog in seating because many customers were waiting around for refills before finishing their meals, which slowed table turnover and caused longer waits outside for people waiting to be seated. Other than that, the experience was enjoyable, and we had a good family time. I would have given 5 stars, but because of the refil

First time visit. We went for an early Friday dinner and missed the crowd and the lines. Everything was fresh and the staff kept the buffet full. Some people hogged out on crab legs so I can see how this could be frustrating during busy times. There was a good variety with many more authentic dishes we don’t normally see at other buffets. Our waiter was very attentive and offered opinions on what to try. We don’t live nearby but would definitely come back when in town.

I stopped by this restaurant for lunch yesterday and left genuinely impressed. At first, I expected the usual Chinese buffet experience (I typically go for staples like crawfish and sushi) and they didn’t disappoint on that front. Both were fresh, well-prepared, and definitely hit the spot. What really stood out, though, was the variety beyond the typical buffet offerings. They had more unique, less conventional dishes like pig feet, which I personally enjoy but don’t often see available. It added a nice touch of authenticity and variety to the experience. Another highlight was their soup station, where you can customize your own bowl by choosing your ingredients and broth. I went with the udon, and it turned out to be one of my favorite parts of the meal, warm, flavorful, and satisfying. I didn’t get a chance to try the crab, but it seemed to be a crowd favorite based on how many people were going for it. It’s definitely on my list for next time since I was too busy exploring everything else they had to offer. Overall, this place goes beyond a standard buffet. If you’re looking for variety, quality, and a few unexpected options, it’s worth a visit.

TLDR: sushi decent for buffet sushi, crab and lobster overcooked and not that good. Wouldn't bother coming back. Wife and I came in for an early dinner, late lunch, on a saturday. We were warmly greeted and seated right away. It was busy but not overly crowded. The wait staff did a decent job at clearing away our empty plates. I noticed that food was being replenished within a reasonable amount of time too. They have a noodle station and a hibachi station as well, though I didn't get to try either of these out. Onto the actual food review portion. Sushi was probably the best station here. It was surprisingly good for buffet sushi. Aside from the standard rolls, they also offer sashimi and nigiri as well. Normally I wouldnt, but I was disappointed in the rest of the buffet that I had a whole plate of sushi. The beef short ribs and pork ribs weren't bad either. They had some good flavor and were tender enough. The lobster and crab were pretty terrible in my opinion. Both overcooked and neither very flavorful. The dim sum station was also very disappointing. Chicken feet didn't feel like they were cooked long enough and were tough and chewy. The custard buns tasted like they were wa

We were there this afternoon, the food was good. All the food are delicious and serving in right temperature. They have lobster and snow crabs legs. These are best offer in Asian restaurants. They even offer 15% off for elderly people. We really have a great time there. Two thumbs up 👍 👍
